FAQ's
Delivery
Ruby Bloom offers a same day delivery service for orders placed before
1pm. The charge for this service is £4.95 for local deliveries WF1,WF2,WF3,WF4
& WF5. Deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday.
Ruby Bloom will deliver as far as Normanton WF6, Ackworth WF7, Dewsbury
WF12, Barnsley S75, Huddersfield HD8, Rothwell and Methley LS26. However
there will be restrictions on delivery time slots, which will be discussed
at the time of ordering. There will be a charge of £7.95 for this
service.
Orders that are requested outside of the above delivery areas can be arranged
through flowers by florists. The charge for this delivery service is £5.99
for nation-wide deliveries.
Peak periods
To avoid disappointment, orders for busy periods such as Valentines, Mothers
Day and Christmas we expect where possible to be placed in advance.
Deliveries over these peak periods especially Valentines and Mothers Day
are extremely busy for us florists! Whilst we will be as considerate as
we can with your suggested time requests. It is impossible to guarantee
these at peak periods.
The growers in Holland have an extremely hard task producing the volumes
of flowers that are required at these times and consequently their prices
to us have to increase. We have no choice but to pass this
onto the consumer.
Flower availability
Many varieties of flowers are seasonal and therefore unavailable at certain times of the year, or we just may not have in stock what it is you require if orders are rung through at short notice. On both of these occasions we wouldn’t be able to accommodate your requests and an appropriate alternative would be suggested.How to care for:
FlowersWe purchase the best quality flowers available and you can be assured that they will be sent to you in perfect condition. It is the responsibility of our customers to care for the flowers respectfully.
If you have received them out of water please make sure you re-cut the stems on a diagonal before placing them into water.
Please use the flower food provided, this will help to prolong the life of the flowers.
Water should be changed regularly to avoid bacteria building up in the vase and don’t place the flowers in hot windows or near hot radiators as this will decrease the flower life.
Plants
Most plants are incredibly easy to look after, but the majority are killed by over watering. Ironically, they’d do much better if totally neglected.
Most plants need a winter rest with less water, less feeding and less heat.
Choose the right plant for the right place. Put it where it grows best not just where it looks the best.
Avoid extremes or sudden changes in temperature and light.
